Summary

A Stainless Steel Welder is a skilled professional responsible for joining pieces of stainless steel using various welding techniques. You'll be working in industries such as manufacturing, construction, and fabrication, where the corrosion-resistant properties of stainless steel are crucial.

Key Responsibilities

Perform welding operations on stainless steel components using techniques such as TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding, read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand the requirements of the welding project, prepare stainless steel surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and ensuring proper fit-up of components.

Key Skills

Welding Parameters: Set up and adjust welding equipment, including selecting the appropriate welding parameters such as current, voltage, and gas flow, to achieve high-quality welds.

Quality Control: Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards, including visual inspection and the use of non-destructive testing methods if required.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment, to ensure a safe working environment.

Ability to work as part of a flexible and adaptable team
